I have Dark Basic Classic on a computer which is offline. I'm trying to load DB Pro Free. I've transferred the files via memory stick, and entered the activation code I got via email. However, nothing happens when Launcher is clicked. I read that offline activation is possible if you copy over the compiler folder, but I'm not sure where to save it, and I don't want to put it in the wrong place and mess up the Dark Basic Classic install. Does anyone know how thia can be done? Thanks,
Westmere

Haven't done that as I use a paid version. I would imagine that such a thing is not possible as DBP Free is add based if I remember correctly. Using it entirely offline would pretty much ruin the add thingy wouldn't it?

Anyway. Here's what you might wanna try: Install DBP Free on a computer that does have Internet access and activate it there. After that just copy the entire installed DBP directory to your USB drive and overwrite the unactivated copy on your offline computer with it.

If the activation is stored in a file that should pull it over. And if what you say is correct then this might just work. If you like DBP I would also advise you to get the Gamestudio Bonanza - it has a full/add free version and still is a bargain on all the add on packs in it.

You can't validate DBPro using the files from DBC. They're different products.
