Use the COLOR BACKDROP [color] command. Use an RGB value for the color.

color backdrop rgb(0,255,0) that would turn the backdrop green. If you have codesurge, there is an option under edit called insert rgb and it will give you a color pallet that will calculate and insert the rgb coordinates where your cursor is

The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

I believe color backdrop only works in 3d mode. cls rgb( r, g, b ) sets the backdrop in 2d mode. (I think)

Whenever you want the 2d screen clearing.

cool! ty
i been going through "begginers guide to darkbasic programming"
i have read al the way through part one and im just trying to go back and really focus in on some of the commands that i didnt really understand or get a chance to use when i went through.
mostly data, read, and restore lol
and arrays!
and a little bit of loops. i have really been trying to get into the loops because i know there are very important.
i find myself getting lost when i am reading
know of any dum dum tutorials with these topics
involved?

They certainly aren't "dum dum tutorials" but if you want to learn the basics of Darkbasic check out TDKs Tutorials.
