hey, i signed up to Bing rewards through the SuperRewards offer to get free points, and it said there would be a 15 minute delay. but after 30 minutes, they're still not there! was this because the bing bar installation forced the browser to close to be able to install? its impossible not to, and if so thats completely unfair!

Pingas. Period.

Personally, I think all of the trialpay methods are rip-offs.
The free ones, you don't end up getting them at all, and the paid ones you actually pay more for.
Its better just buying the points as they are.

I also did this as well as the Swagbucks offer and have yet to get those points. After the bing offer fell through, I recorded my signing up for the swagbucks.

I emailed customer support about this along with a link to a youtube video showing the failure. I am waiting for a reply.

do not use trialpay. i did this once and it turned out i had a subscription to emusic that was taking £10 a month without me knowing.

so, i ending up paying £30 for 2000 points. Buying the points direct is the best option in my opinion

I said I would post the reply I received and here it is:

I'm a bit disappointed, but sadly not surprised.

Here, by the way, is the text from Issue 97 of the Game Creators:

"The Game Creators have teamed up with the leading providers of virtual currency; perform a few simple tasks and top up your Store points. As well as being able to take up exciting offers and receiving potentially thousands of points, there are a host of other tasks to earn rewards. Watch a movie trailer, rate search results, answer questions, tag photos or choose from a host of activities that will ultimately earn you any of the high quality models and resources to make your game shine.

Open the Store, through FPS Creator, DBPro or the standalone version. Log in to your account and select the Buy Points option. Below the regular payment options you'll find links to gWallet, Offerpal, DoubleDing and TrialPay. You'll immediately find yourself in amongst the tasks and offers available, and can start earning immediately by watching a movie trailer or two!"

Yeah, it didn't really seem to be telling the whole truth there...

Here is then next update in the "its not our problem its your problem" exchange- in a fight for what amounts to 64 cents. (Though obviously, there are more deals). I did get 24 points, but have lost out on more.

So apparently, others need to install hypercam (remove the spyware) and make a web recording upload it to youtube and complain to TGC.

On the upside, I was able to donate 100 "swagbucks" to a relief effort to Japan, so all was not lost in yet another miserable experience.

I've tried a few more times and I've had a bit more success in getting points. I don't think I'm getting every point I sign up for, but I have earned 204 points so far. I wish I knew exactly which offers worked.

I did see a car commercial video for 4 points and it was awarded almost immediately. I keep web recording all the transactions.

I finally got my Game Creator points for signing up with Bing. I chose the Super Rewards deal because it offered more GCP than other offers. It took several emails to customer service. In the end, they want a copy of the Bing emails with headers to prove you are signed up.

Here were some of the offers that worked for me without complaints.

Gwallet:

Install the Weather.com application

Video Check out the Intuit Websites.

SuperRewards:

Register for Champions Online by Atari

Intel Appup Netbook Center Offer

I still have customer complaints in at various sites and am waiting for action by customer service.

In general, avoid the surveys and record what you do. You will need the proof when something does not work. Many of the game offers will install malware, so becareful about selecting those- the Atari deal was legit though.

I finally got my gwallet points for signing up for Swagbucks. I tried to dispute both the VLC media player points and the Swagbucks in the same ticket, but they forced me to file two separate complaints. The total time was 11 days for both tickets. Recording with hypercam was pretty helpful.

I'm reducing my involvement with these services to watching the videos. It may only be 2-4 TGC points each time, but it adds up slowly.
