I'm a newcomer to DarkGDK. I know little bit about c++/irrlicht. Just wondering where should I start? Couldnt find many tutorials for DarkGDK so I've read mostly the ones which was included. So what I'm asking for links to tutorials/tips/hints whatever to get me started.

You think so?

Well, I don't know about tutorials, but most commands are the standard dbPro commands with "db" in front of them.

EX: dbLoadObject("object.x", 1)

The help.chm file that comes with GDK has all the commands listed with an example.

Trial and error is a sure way to make progress.

Setup programs to test the nuances of the system and its commands so that you get a feel for how the Dark GDK works.
Also, use the documentation to get any commands you need.

Just in case you don't know about these (I didn't for a while.) Check out the blender model creating and animating software.http://blender.org

Also for 2d check out gimp.http://www.gimp.org/

Good luck!

I'll get a new signature someday.

The first thing you want to do is to just develop a very easy, user interface game, like a balloon popping game with the mouse. That will help you to understand the game engine. Also you could join "groups" where you work on something and share a project with a team.
