Hello, DbPro users

I have problems with Blender's DirectX-exporter. I can export mere models with no problem, but if I export them with animations, they will be deformed in DbPro. Some test models worked, but they were simple meshes with simple 2 part skeletons.

I have not got used to other programs' GUI's. I'd like Blender to export my animated characters properly.

Some info:
-I load models with LOAD OBJECT "file.x",objectnumber
-In Blender I make mesh and armature and then parent the mesh to armature "from boneheat"
-I've tried different versions of the DirectX-exporter

Here is deformed animated model in game:

Please help?

Need to post your .blend file as the problem probably is there.

Also, use Kiras exporter (Found on the "3 Dimensional Chat" forum) the old/original is not working correctly.

Regards

I've solved this. Here's an explanation for everyone:

THE PROBLEM: When you make armature in blender, the first bone is tricky. the bones extruded from its thicker end won't connect for some reason. You can test this by moving that thicker end.

SOLUTION #1: I made the 1st bone to a position where there are no bones attached to its thicker end(model's head), but there was a problem because rotating that bone made the whole skeleton rotate.

POSSIBLE SOLUTION #2: Extruding bone from the 1st bone and then deleting the 1st and using the extruded bone as the base for the skeleton.

SO WHAT IS THE PROBLEM: I don't know much about Blender's armatures so it might be something tricky or it is a bug.

I write this in hope of someone like me getting helped.
