It's fast and it allows me to do those bullet holes at the correct angles I've been scratching my head over. WTG guys!
You know it can be used for super fast bullet collision even for non instantaneous bullets! You just check once when the bullet is fired where it's gonna hit and let her fly! All you have to do then is see if it hits entities each loop.

OMG it could really simplify ai pathfinding too! Thanks for making my game programming so much easier. Again.

I recently asked Lee for a command like intersect object, except it returns the normal of the polygon intersected. This means you can find angles for bullet holes with 1 command and do 360 degree sliding collision with a lot less commands, and it will be a lot more accurate. Lee informed me it will be implimented in U6 or U7 (and I hope it is ).

Drake, need a job? Need something to do?

I think so... Get a girlfriend or get out and do something. Your bitching is getting old and tiresome.

Please go away...

I have a small example, especially when it's cold...

Have a quick look at the convention code I posted last weekend - I use the intersect object function there to do the collision with the tiles because it was more accurate than the standard collision.

You just need to be careful and limit your use of it as it's relatively slow.

"Your bitching is getting old and tiresome"

and TGC's broken promises and continual moving back of release dates/patches is really old and tiresome.

sorry, but that's the way it seems.

stop looking at me!

They're not trying to annoy you on purpose, it's not like they like loosing customers, they have to make a living out of it and they have made a quality product and are spending their time improving this product and all you can do is moan.

If the release dates are moved back they aren't trying to piss you off, they have probably got stuck with a problem, or have decided to add more features, or do you want a half arsed upgrade that doubles the bugs and gives you something else to moan about?

... or perhaps they *are* out to get you

Really though I think that the main problem is that there aren't enough hours in the day to do everything that everybody wants in the time that they want it.

If there is something holding you up, either work around it or move onto a different part of your project until the next release fixes it - that's what I did with the convention code when I had problems with the standard collision detection
