Hello owners of Zombie Apocalypse model pack. The pack has been updated for 1.17/1.18, get it in your order history.

-updated textures so that correct diffuse texture is used by shader. Non-shader diffuse textures are now in a folder labeled "legacy D2 textures".
-includes two new mob zombie variations that use the "per polygon limb detection" as seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKX5UZQnZSU
-also includes a new biped file containing these new animations for creating your own characters that use the limb detection feature with ragdoll.

Did you change the email address you use on the forum? Your downloads are tied to the email address you bought them with. If this is the case send support an email and they can transfer your purchases to the new email address.

I was also wondering this.
And also.. Bond1, are you going to update your metro theater pack for 1.17/1.18 too? Because i know that people, including myself, have been having some problems with that pack too.

Thanks,
E007eragon

Yes, Metro Theater will be updated shortly. And Viral Outbreak will get a DarkAI update as soon as 1.18 is released.

Very nice Bond1, it's really good to see a developer keeping up with latest developments.

I'm looking forward to viral outbreak pack update, that sounds excellent.

Thanks for this

Make sure you are logging in to TGC with the same email that you used for the purchase.
It is based on the email address, so double check that.
If your purchase used a different email address then create a second log in using that email, then log in with that and you should see it.

Dude, this is stupidly awesome.

Jw, how possible would it be for me to transfer the limb detection onto a different character? I mean, is it pretty much tailored entirely to this model, or could it be semi-easily adapted?

Some packs in my order history got "bonus" or "bonus media" when something changed (like Dark Egypt V2). But ZA is still only a single file - has it simply been replaced?

EDIT: Question answered - I should have read the small print beneath

Ikey: You can use the new Limb detector tool to add this to characters.

It's not that hard to add the new limb detection to a character.
A simple edit to the FPE file to assign the limbs, and then the use of shotdamagetype=x in your entity's FPI script.

It works on non-characters too, they just need joints/bones. (see attached video)

The new bi-ped provided in the pack with limb detection animations is a brilliant idea and a great addition.

@Bond1

I was thinking maybe you could extend this new hit detection system to the Dead Space monsters in your Viral Outbreak pack. I'm thinking possible limb dismemberment here!

Anyway this is awesome and thanks for another fine release.

You know, it figures this limb detection feature gets added JUST AFTER this pack gets released. Otherwise I would have built the models around something like this. Oh well, I guess that's just how it goes. Anyway, this pack was really meant to showcase shader variables, and of course the shadows.

My next pack, which I've already started working on, will make full use of hit detection. I've got some models already started, from a while ago, that I had abandoned. Now the technology in FPSC has finally caught up to what I had in mind!

Use "appear2.fpi" when spawning a character from a trigger.

Egad! Yes, somehow an "I" texture snuck in there, even though it's not needed! I must have been testing something out and forgot to delete it. You figured it out though, yes just delete that texture, it's not needed.

Sorry about that.
