Hey, finally here with another pack - it's been quite a while, huh.

This pack was planned to be the Huge Scifi Pack #2, but I decided it wasn't good enough so I called it a Scifi Grunge Pack instead. I'm so weird.

Includes:
-10 segments:
=== Light/Dark variations of each segment
=== Dark brownish theme segments
=== Sewer-ish segments

-16 entities
=== 6 lights, styled like the Huge Scifi Pack's lights that everyone loved
=== Caution Bar
=== Gantry
=== 6 pillars with Half, Full, Base, and Ruined variations
=== Slanted wall
=== Slanted wall support

So yeah, it's a pretty small pack compared to my other ones. A little bigger than the Abandoned Warehouse pack I made, but not really that good. Although it is designed just like the Huge Scifi Pack, mainly in the sense that you can be quite creative with it.

I'm actually really disappointed with the way it came out, it's not nearly as good as the Huge Scifi Pack. But maybe I'm being too overcritical - what do you guys think?

Screenies:

Download Link! Finally I can host direct links with my new website, so no more Mediafire.

CLICKY.

Be sure to comment! It drives me nuts when people download something and don't say anything.

Enjoy,

Thanks guys.

Yeah Gencheff, I usually only do scifi. I tried modern but it didn't turn out well - the closest I got was the abandoned warehouse pack.

To each his own I guess.

I personally steer clear of Sci-Fi and lean towards Grunge/Urban environments.

Oh btw one little thing I want to point out (nit-picking as usual) , the segments are seamless,however if I'm not mistaking,you mirrored the texture a few times over the original and cut out the unnecessary parts to make it seamless.

Might I suggest that you do the folowing instead:

1.Open the texture in Photoshop and make a copy of the layer.
2.Place the copied layer next to the original and use Reveal all to show both textures.
3.Flatten both textures into one single.
4.Use Clone Stamp tool or Healing tool to fix the seams.
5.Cut from the very beginning (lefT) to a width of 1024 the flattened and now fixed layer.
6.Place the remaining right part of the texture exactly over the first and erase the parts on it's far right.
7.Trim the whole image and save

The end result should be a perfectly seamless 1024x1024 texture.

Again good job on this though.

Yeah I did mirror them, it was my first time using that method. That's why I said I was disappointed with this, the segments looked too mirrored.

Thanks for the mini tutorial, I'll keep it in mind.

EDIT: Here's an update, it appears I forgot to include these.

Includes:
-Three 3D text signs

(will post screenshots later.)

Download coming up, once I fix them.

Fantastic as always. Thanks.

Can I make video games? Yes. Can I make Halo? Of course not. Does that make me a bad game maker? No. If someone tells you that you cant make games (unless you really cant), tell them to [Removed].

One question, Are these segments have shaders?. If you have not, I'll take care of adding a nice shader like entities.

Thanks again for the nice comments.

Here is the update, below is the sreenshot and the download.

Screen:

DOWNLOAD!

Extract the D'L somewhere into the PWP's Scifi Grunge Pack (entities) folder - it won't matter.

There are two other text-signs that aren't shown in the screenshot.

@KonGO, nope they aren't shader ready. Only the lights are since they all use the illuminationmap.fx shader (included with every copy of FPSC).

Hey just downloaded and tested a map. For one the segments look really good,but, as I walk by them, a black blob appears on the segments as i walk past them(the blob follows me). Ill try to get a screen shot up in a few minutes.
And the light entities are maybe my favorite part of the pack, hard to find good looking lightsources, and these are so mch different than most light sources I seen. Very nice pack

[Edit] here are 2 screens of the black blob on the segments. There are 2 showing the blob following me.

The first shows me standing in one stop with the blob

This one shows me moved over a bit and the blob followed

Did you place an enemy? It might be a glitch with shaders on characters, my segments didn't have any shaders applied. Not sure it's my segments problems, try to see if it's a character glitch.

That is actually a source problem. There are a few mentions of it in the beta thread. Hopefully its been fixed already for beta 10.
