So, he should wait to be awarded it posthumously, like Heltor?
Whether Airslide is active or not, his legacy should be long respected for the life of FPSC and I think TGC and the mods or whoever it is that decides these things did right by acknowledging his contributions in this way. It's also great to see an OG modder in the VM ranks. It certainly makes the badge more meaningful to me.

I'm sure we'd all love to see you around a bit more but I also think it's great you've branched out. I think you'd be happy with the way weapons have turned out in 1.18. Hockeykid did a superb job of filling in the gaps that were left in Airmod and adding many new things as well. There's now almost nothing I could want more in the gun system and to see such a complete and robust system in "vanilla" makes my heart skip a beat.
I truly see you as the lynch pin to why the "migration" has been such a whirlwind of awesome. For it was Airmod that got most people to even try a mod in the first place and eventually there was an explosion of great mods and no matter what the new features offered, the first question anyone would ask was "Does it have Airmod"? If the answer was "Yes" it had good chance for success and if the answer was "No" it was doomed to be marginalized.
If not for the mainstream enthusiasm over Project Blue and Fenix Mod (and sparked by Airmod), I think we would not have seen Hockeykid invited on-board to help TGC with the migration and be the custodian of Airmod integration and its feature set completion. We would also likely not be seeing Ply's wonderful variable system in official FPSC either.
So once again

And I wish you well on whatever road life takes you down.
