I lose lol. Neo ,Mazz, and Motran Great work.

Softwizz, its lookin good, but it sort of looks like blood smears on the inside wall.

Also, the rubble could use some mesh details :3 otherwise good work.

Changed my mind about what i was going to make... i decided to make a post-apocolpytic weapon:

Rar includes max file,3ds and obj.

As for the texture, i used textures off the internet as overlays, is it still possible to submit the texture ?

I gotta say, I'm not really sure how a fully assembled, finished gun fits the theme...

maybe try disassembling it so that the components are laying out on a work table? *shrug* or something

Thanks mate My scene was going to be similar to yours but other work has stacked up stupidly high and being ill does'nt help

The start idea was to have loads of scaffolding and crane like machines putting his right arm on and generally fiddling with him. Hell i even made a charge port on the lower chassis as a umbilical cord type system. Slightly robbed that idea from Evangellion but i didnt even get a chance to show it off so;

I was going to have a clamp system around that bottom 'Vertabre' to hold it in place but never got around to actually making the plug lol ;D

laz... if i remember you were saying something about not having enough time... i hate to say it but it shows a little. the start of what you were showing was sooo promising. If you ever do decide to finish this model the arms could use an overhaul. I still think it is cool as hell though. the legs were what caught my attention... add that kind of detail and design to the arms and your in business.

hmmm i dont think i can agree with the winners... but what do i know. the winners did have some good work. but... truely neo deserved something in there some were?? The design of the ship itself was epic. IDK i guess i should leave it to the experts. I would say something about laz and his model but its apparent that he didn't get anything due to incompleteness.

edit: if it says in the beginning and i missed it im sorry but: how are the winners chosen? Is there a vote??? if there is were can i get in on it?

Yes three judges Mike S, BiggAdd and myself, but we have as many MODS help us as possible, sometimes it's not an easy choice. As you so noted many are/were deserving of an award, but we only have three badges. Neodelito's entry as well as Softwizz's were top contenders.

All the entries were good, and it's getting harder and harder to choose the winners, that's a sign that these compos are succeeding in their goal to help you all get some practice in and improve your modeling skills.

Jump right into this months compo, it's a good lesson in scaling. show us what you can do and have fun!

Cheers!

Take this in the most humble way, Softwizz, i liked your model, but i think if the judges had picked it, i would have been a bit upset as a few other contestants had some better works.

I think Neo,seppgirty,or Quik would have been more prominent contestants, and the only reason being the lack of rubble mesh.

While i think the Winners were definitely good, i think Judging could have been better.

This is what i would have judged it.

Model: Motran
Texture: Mazz
Master: Neodelito

/dumbness

Dont take this as i think we need new judges or judging style. I agree with them.
Sorry if i offended anyone.
Good job winners!

Critizing judges...
only fair imo^^ But then, i think the judging were pretty fair.
But i also believe everyone shall be to have their said in wether its fair or not, but wether the judges will respond and explain or not, that is nothing we can demand.

There is no doubt to me that its fair... its just focused differently then say me or MMoJ thought it should be. No big deal. The mods are just different people then I am so its obvious that naturally there is the possibility they have different taste then i do.

I agree, I thought mine lacked detail and was a bit crap, but I was proud of the texture.

But I am pleased it was a conteder as it was the first model I have made and textured 100% by myself.
