Hi, does DBPro limit the maximum color of icon?
I can add an icon which is more than 16 color into the editor but
cannot display the icon inside it. Then after building, the icon attached the exe is only 16 colors (I think).

So how can I add an icon which is more than 16 colors?

i don't think you can, all icons are 16 colours and i don't think this can be changed

I think you can.
Join the Underware Design forums http://www.underwaredesign.com/forums (it's free!) and you'll get a free icon changer that dumps a 256 colour icon into your exe.

BTW: When you choose a simple single resolution icon in the DBpro IDE (and run 2K or XP) the icon will be converted to a multiresolution icon, with at least the following layers:
1) 32 x 32, 16 colours
2) 32 x 32, 256 colours
3) 16 x 16, 16 colours
