Every time you hit space, this code should display:

In loop, entering function - pass 1
In function
In loop, entering function - pass 2
In function
In loop, entering function - pass 3
In function

...and so on, but it crashes on pass 2...



I've cut out most of my code up to this little piece and it still crashes.

The program will make it through pass 1 successfully. But on pass 2, it enters the function and displays an error message. I'm not sure whether this is only happening to me or what, but it's definitely not a coding error.

It's because you're returning a constant string. Try it like this:


It's definitely a bug, but one that's been around so long it seems unlikely to be fixed
