Hello,

I am starting a kind of RTS but i am already stuck with the first tests.

Is there a Render mode that allows me to see my models like this?

*** SORRY, I posted a wrond link, picture in the next post ***

Any help on this kind of vector-retro look would be great help.

I was looking for something similar a while back.

You could use Evolved's Toon shader to get a black outline on your objects (and a cell shaded look) but if you want the lines down each edge you will probably have to add them to the object texture...

Just simply texture them like this, that's an easy and fast way.

thanks for the answer, i will look into it.

i try to get around texuting, as i seem to miss the basics here.
i can construct in 3d using a solid modelling tool, but i am not able to get anywhere with texturing.
UV, mesh texturing, vertex commands are all over my actual level.

if Anyone can give an advice on how the get the UV mapping done properly (wings3d crashed when i tested it with a simple building, 3dsmax is just impossible to understand, and mudbox tells me to get a damn UV map before painting) i will model them anything, except plants or humans (i suck), in return.

I too have been looking into a similar shader solution as to what you've got going in your pictures. I'll post back here once I find something that works well. From memory, I've come across one in my travels when I was playing with Dark Shader, but I've only played with it and never implemented such a shader.
