Hi everyone,

I found a free model made in maya and i was wondering how to convert the model and import it into fpsc creator. If someone could please help me do this i would be very grateful.

Thanks,

If it is a simple solid entity, just export it as a DirectX file. "*.x"

The only thing you really need to remember as far as solid entities is you need the DirectX format. If you look through the files > meshbank you will see it's all just .x files.

You wont be able to get it into FPSC if its not in Xformat. You will need to find someone with Maya and have them export it for you.

What?

Uber,

Slow down bud. I don't think you really read the manual closely. Trust me, line for line, it will make it a lot easier on yourself.

I think he means can the entity be scaled so that it takes up the whole space on the 100x100 editor grid, which I believe is possible.

If you can see the enemy, they can see you.

In the map editor though? I don't know about that. Maybe in a segments fpe file. I always set the size in the fpe to the actual size of the segment, so I wouldn't really know.

Oh sorry about that I haven't read the manual.

I should probably do that

And yes I do mean to have the entity the size of the 100x100 size.

The best way to do that is to make sure the actual model is 100 by 100, other than that you can try messing with the FPS file.

And yeah, read that manual Uber, it will save you a whole lot of time and headache. I learned the hard way.

Uber,
Also, treading over to the DarkBasicPro forums to learn more about scripting isn't a bad idea either, but only after you read the manual and at least have a basic understanding of the scripts.
