If you have recently purchased weapons from GCS author "Combat Action", please contact TGC and get your points refunded because these weapons have been uploaded in breech of GCS and Modelpack licensing.

TGC has been contacted and it's only a matter of time before appropriate action will be taken.

I have not nor will I ever allow such poor quality models to be sold on my rigs/animations.

Thanks to General Jackson for bringing this matter to my attention.

edit: Additional thanks to Gorlocks suggestions for the extra info.

Proof!

Quote: "Scorpion's bread and butter. It's more stable than the previous model and has a lighter body, allowing more mobility in the battlefield. It also fires faster and does more damage."

Go look at the PP-19ms

Scorpion is a special character from combat arms and has a special gun called scorpions PP-19. Here it is and look at the textures.

http://combatarms.nexon.net/Shop/ItemDetail.aspx?itemId=516&order=516&cat=2&subCat=5&is_sales_tab=false&sales=2&status=0&pageIndex=2&orderType=1

Same texture and model...

EDIT: All the models and Textures are ripped because of the other specialist guns... They are the same.

I wonder how it got published in the first place, it seems like tgc would have caught that beforehand...maybe it somehow slipped through?

Good work Errant and General Jackson. That's the way a community works- we look after one another. Let that be a lesson for anyone else that wants to try and claim work not belonging to them.

To be honest, this all wouldnt have happened if the GCS's security was tighter.

It's an honor system. Up-front, artists agree to not upload content that they do not have permission to do so with. TGC was very quick to respond to the complaint and have suspended this person's account while awaiting to see if he will try to defend himself.

The most TGC could ever have is a couple pairs of eyes to check this stuff. The community has hundreds in addition to countless hours of gaming experience to identify ripped assets. So, if nothing else, this shows that the current system does in fact work well and reinforces the notion that community members looking after each other is indeed effective.

Heightened scrutiny by TGC, I believe, would only result in longer delays for new items to be made available and at worse require reduced royalty percentages for artists in order to increase TGC-side GCS staff.

Sorry to see you were getting ripped off like that, glad to see it got caught here so fast.. it is too bad there is no way to scan other market places to make sure he isn't doing this on other sites.
Unless, the TGC Store logs IP information and if other 3d market places would collaberate and scann their data bases to see if they have members with the same IP and other member details. Just a thought.

EI Errant

I see you are blasting me for something that is not true, the models I am using are google pictures from combat arms, and I am not using your models to make my own, so back off and one other thing I don't even have any weapons in the Game Store, so what are you even talking about. I got one weapon in turbosquid and no one has downloaded it as of yet, and don't get me wrong I think you are a great modeller and I respect your talent, but please do not accuse me of things that are not true and telling this to everyone about me.

...Sigh*

You used his animations, or at least his hands on the models you released on the TGC store.

The reason they're not there is because they we're removed, I saw them, lots of us did.

It would have been better to contact EAI via email, if you have a problem with his post.

combat action: Or whatever your name is (I think he's used three already), If you try to sell "any" asset that contains "any" elements that you did not create yourself, including meshes, textures, animations, etc., without written permission from the original creator, you are a thief, and a criminal.

Ignorance of the law does not exclude you from it!

You will do well to come out of this without being sued. TGC contract that you signed, and submitted, binds you to the laws that are in place to protect the artists that work hard to create thier assets, including mine. You are now in breach of that contract, and TGC has the physical proof ( the assets you submitted, and claimed as your own) in thier possesion.

So with all due respect ( which is none) please shut your mouth, take a long hike, and reflect on what you have done.

And if you do get prosecuted, A thread should be created to make an example of you, and your kind, to let all who even consider doing what you have tried to, will be delt with severly. NO MERCY!

You screw with us, and we'll screw you back, just harder! Your all being watched!
