im making a new game and it has to have talking in it but i dont have a microphone or any recording system so i was wondering if there is a way to make it that instead of the person saying the words, the words just come up at the bottom of the screen??

If you just want text coming up on screen
theres a tutorial in the ocfpsc guide which is in your doc folder.

If you want speaking sound you could get a text to speech
software which would convert any text document you typed
to sound.

Have a search on google there are some free ones.

Don't let that stand in your way...you can pick up a cheap mic at any store that sells PC accessories.
I found a very nice Samson at Goodwill for only $8 , and it works better than any of the ones I have bought in the past!
Also, ask around your family members and friends, because one of them may have gotten a mic in a system bundle and might not be using it and will let you have/borrow it.

As far as the recording system goes, all you need is your computer and Audacity.
