Hello,

I downloaded Dark Basic Professional. I installed it and when it tries to send an order key it says

"HttpSendRequest failed.Error Code:12057
Unable to get response from server. A firewall may be blocking this application.

I tried turning the firewalls off. Then I added an exception for Dark Basic(not sure if same site as sending the e-mail). I looked through all my security stuff and still I can't get the order key.

This site sent me the code to join this forum so I dont know why the order key is different.

I searched the internet but I count find a way to fix this . I would apreciate it if any one has an answer.

I just got the SP2 pack for Vista. I wonder if I should reinstall Dark Basic, find some some unknown firewall issue or write exceptions for a certain e-mail or program.

How can I get the order key?

Thanks,
Brian

Try running the application as administrator.

Hi.
When I bought Darkbasic Pro , TGC sent me an activation code. There is also a free version fully workable of this program that you can download .I think you don`t need activaicion in the free one.

Cheers.

Thanks for responding.

It was the free version but it still wants to send and receive they key. I think I did try to run it as an administrator.

When I looked at some of the files they had the shield Icons on them but I don't know if thats the problem or how to change that. I just turned the firewalls off but that didn't work.

I now have a bigger problem . I tried to install SP2 for Vista and it got caught in an infinite loop.
I needed a new fan on a graphics card anyway so its now at a computer repair place. They are supposed to get it running with SP2 on it.

I hope that it will some how work after SP2 is on there. I'm not sure though because whatever security that wont let it send me an e-mail might still be on there. Maybe SP1 caused some security to block it.

Could the new service pack installation clear this up? What should I tell the Computer place?
