i was wondering if i can use characters off google sketchup for my game and make them move and shoot if so how can i do it, also can i use it as just a non movable car of jet.

First you would have to go by license per model.
Then you would need to get them into .x format.
Then characters you would nee to rig and animate them.
Static entities would be fairly straight forward. If you don't want to tweak scripts yourself, look for an entity maker. If you don't mind doing a little work by hand, look through your entity bank and find a box. Look through its files and scripts so you can learn what makes an entity.

With the free version of Google Sketchup you can only export models in .dae format ...
you could convert it to .x or .3ds formats with Blender, but the Collada engine is very buggy!

There are numerous .x exporters for google sketchup free version. Currently v6 and below are allowed for commercial usage. I recommend using the free version of v6 and downloading the 3d rad exporter.
