Do you mean fpe script? Anyway in the editor the image file can be dds, tga, jpg or png. This is the image file name used in the fpe file. For it to appear in the build you need a dds image file. Give this the same name used in your fpe file.

Therefore I am sorry, I cannot help. I have not experienced this problem with retexturing entities or segments.

Good luck.

Well, what are you doing, step by step, when you are retexturing?

1. convert the original texture to a png so i can edit it.
2. open in gimp and recolor the texture
3. convert back to dds
4. put in texture-bank
5. switch entities texture to the new one in the editor window.

hope i was clear enough...

Try doing this:
1. Download Paint.NET or GIMP (I personally prefer Paint.NET)
2. Open the texture (as .DDS) in the GIMP/Paint.NET
4. Edit it
5. Save as .DDS with a new name.
6. Open the FPE or FPS of the entity/segment you are retexturing, find the Textured = line and change it to your new texture.
7. Delete the .DBO and .BIN files.
8. Before you do all this try just deleting the .DBO and .BIN files.
