Hi, i'm really conserving my money right now but i want to create a simple, 2 player game that can be played over a network. I started looking at some videos about that on youtube as well as looking at the DBP commands in the help file, but i could tell whether this is possible without DarkNet. Is it? Or are there free libraries available? Any help with this is appreciated.

DBP has its own mulitiplayer commands, altho I have not used them. I believe they are based around directPlay and can support up to 16 players in a game.

I use multisync myself for multiplayer stuff. it's a free plugin, just have a search on the forums for it.

Of the 2 you'll be happier with multisync over the built in commands. DirectPlay was never really that great.
