I had 2 emails come thru my site this week on FPSC they both had been lurking on the forums but hadn't bought the software because they were afraid they could not work as a team. Just to totally clear the record and they can see it in black and white....you CAn be on a team, the only issue is the requirements for "TEAM REQUESTS" on the forum that they would have to meet. Correct?

Being on a team and working with other people on a project isn't the issue. Your friends can work together if they want to. The problem lies in recruiting members for your team here on these boards; especially when you haven't even started on a project yet. Hence the reason the requirements for team request threads were enstated.

There used to be a team request board on the forums; so I've heard (before my time), but it was deleted because it became overpopulated with countless threads starting with something along the lines of; "I'm making the next Call of Duty and need 100 people to join my team. I can't do anything so I'll be the supervisor and we'll split the money when the game is done." Which, ended up pushing the credible requests down the page.

Clearly its not impossible however, no one is yet able to meet the requirements for a Team Request and doing so will be no mean feat.

It will require a great deal of investment in time and resources and utilising FPSC to develop an advanced demo at the very least so anyone that does not have it and use it to develop something subtaintial to support such a request together with a seriously professional range of supporting materials and resources will have less chance than me completing a finished commercial game with FPSC and theres not much chance of that now is there?

Further to that you have to convincingly show that you have some chance to successfully stay the course long term and can see it through. You need a highly detailed professioanl quality game development plan or at least a reasonable attempt at such showing you understand what its all about.

Lastly you have to get past the whole of the TGC Mods not just FPSC Mods considerations and deliberations which is an even harder task than all the previous put together.

The very subject traditionally is Taboo around here and that goes right the way back to TGC so you need something rather very special.

Having said that we do and will give due consideration of course for those who are willing to make the required effort.

To start with if you cant get something then through the WIP board into the Showcase and even on to the BOTB then you wont stand much chance of serious consideration.

Even the best of genuine intentions will not be enough. Sorry.

Nothing stopping anyone working and communicating as a Team off these boards of course. Just dont do it here.
