With some cardboard and felt pens you can make a neat game of Monopoly!

Pincho, that's a bit extravagant. Hide & Seek doesn't need anything to play.

If you had a cardboard box, a record player, a light bulb, two toilet rolls and some double sided sticky tape you might be able to make yourself a Gamecube.

when i was like 6, i used a cardboard box, stons of scotchtape, papertowel tubes, a 1/2 inch ballbearing i found, and a small plank of wood and made a baseball rule kinda pinball game. set the ball at homeplate (a hole) then flip it. whatever hole it went into (just like the pinball game with ramps n stuff) determined what happened. and the ball would rooolll down to the ball return at the front of the box.

I built and played with that for about a weekend. Jeez i'm old.

I had a shiny table at home. So I collected lots of Smartie lids and flicked them around the shiny table as football players. Whichever was nearest the ball got the next shot.

(I also made Monopoly from cardboard..it's true!)

I once attempted to make a tabel-top game that simulated space battles. Basically I made a huge grid-like surface out of construction paper. Because I'm cheep, and a lousy sculptor, I just cut out little squares and drew warships on them. Different ships in the fleets had different abilities... It quickly died because things got so complicated that a turn took usually over fifteen minutes !!

How do you make games: use that spagetti-like organ inside your scull.

When I was a kid me and my friends used to beat the garbage outta each other with Whiffleball bats. Maybe that's why I'm about three weeks in and still haven't been able to code a desent explosion.

The only thing I ever made with a cardboard box was a vacuum cleaner-- cut a whole in the bottom to pick stuff up and attach a handle to it. It really worked for tall carpets. Good old days

Me and my mates made a catapult from a few planks of wood and some industrial strenght elsastic that we "obtained" (we were evil little brats)...

We took it apart after braking someones window about 3 blocks over from my mates back yard (yet again; we were evil little brats)...

Just thought i would add that...
