Designing=I like your design but I think its need to improve 7/10.

Atmosphere=Atmosphere its really good I really like it.The film
grain shader is fit with your game.9/10

Gameplay=I like gameplay.Althought this game is not full of action
but the puzzle is the best. This game maked us thinking
but not just played it.I only got 20-30 since you used
PS 3 shader,I think you might wanna use PS 2 shader for
low end graphics card but I give you 10/10.

Overall 9/10.I think it was very good game but design need to be
improve.Well done mate

Poloflece,Anayar,PWP,Henry Ham,Cosmic Prophet,Wolf,KeithC,Nickydude,Dark Goblin And Lee Bamber is my icon.

That needs a lot of work

All wise jazzing aside: If you want, you can send me a bit of stuff I should work on to my E-Mail adress... I guess I told you in the shavra team that my sparetime is sadly a bit restricted. The sooner I know what I should do the better.

Ertlov all I can say my friend is that YOU have taken FPSC to a whole new level. I watched the video of this and you have done a fantastic job.

Thanks a lot - but No, I didn`t.

People like bond and all other modders take the engine to a whole new level, people like Wolf show me how to design around the limits set by the engine. I simply try to incorporate all the new and fantastic stuff created by others into my visions and ideas.

And I love to play around with settings and tinkered ideas. As for one of the levels, we used metro Theater as base, added a brothel and a casino and after some tinkering around we made the projectors i nthe projector room functional. You can pick up filmreels ingame, carry them to the projector room and watch real movies there. It has nothing to do with killing enemies or finding the exit for the level, it`s just playing around for fun

Here`s some insight into that:

Well kudos to all them also not in a sarcastic way either. The way this has transpired is excellent. I seen some good releases before but I think this is in the top five percent in terms of customizing and showing what FPSC can really do.

Yeah, I just wanted to point out that the improvements on FPSC and several "break-throughs" are made by others, not by me.

You contributed to it though Every decent game that doesn't downright feel like FPSC generated is a good addition to this community.

I see...you posted it on Indiedb. Well, its good publicity but prepare yourself for a storm of utterly moronic requests and questions

However, am I still rolling on this because it doesn't look like you'd really need me (sneaky compliment...I guess)
(Also: why are there nazi zombies?)

On an offtopic note: Your website seems to be down.

Really a nice site you`ve built so far. And having a com adress is by far more impressive than spam-flooding free domains.
Wish you all the best for that, and, if you want, I also authorize you to list the Painkiller Resurrection Demo there.

Sure Ertlov, but where can I find that one? Actually I will be needing a lot of games specially coming from TGC as I build the sites reputation and content.. One of my goal is to help fpsc and db pro developers as there is no official website to display our games on public aside from this thread... I am really sad that only few to none want's to publish or advertise our games, People still think that our engines are still not good, however I feel that it is not the engine but it's with the developer. People became bias when it comes to engine, they most likely to believe on UDK, Cryengine and Unity, yes those engines are good, but how many indie developers already created a game? And besides if you will search well, you can see that there are games created on those engines that looks like more trash than other of our games. And some did not even finish those "games" that I cannot call games. Those engines are good in the hands of skilled developers also. Plus factor is that they are expensive than our engine. Why not people give fpsc a chance to showcase their cool/great developed games? They are one sided, maybe they are just bitter, cause they can't even create a good game even with FPSC as the most user friendly and easy to use engine. So, that's my goal. Haha, I am already off topic... Anyway, sure I will add the demo of that game, and even it's release, you can also add commercial games to me with no percentage, you can even use your own paypal button on my site. Actually I am really looking for more of fpsc developers and indie developers that are taken for granted in this industry. Much preferably to advertise and publish freely to my site are more of fpsc games since this forums is second to my family. Maybe in the next few months, I will make that site exclusive for fpsc. Thanks and have a great day.

Edit: Oh wait wait wait... the game painkiller? as in the painkiller the original one not just an fpsc remake? Your the developer of that? Woah! Dude.... I really don't know what to say... Sure I will add it in the demo, and if you want you can also sell it on my site, and no fee, tell me if your interested and I will tell you how we will do it...

Exactely. I was on the publishers side working on Painkiller "Overdose" and we (Homegrown Games) did Painkiller "Resurrection" (not to be confused with the mini-game "Redemption) on our own.

We were forced by the then almost-bankrupt publisher to release the game in EARLY Beta stage in October 2011 (4 weeks before the agreed date) which gave us abdysmal review ratings and hell of a work in patching, however, after the patches were implemented, it was actually pretty good.

Here some infos:

http://worthplaying.com/article/2009/10/14/news/69345/

Vid:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CbUQrA42lk&feature=related

Download links Demo:

http://www.worthdownloading.com/game.php?gid=4430

Don`t link to stores or steam where someone could buy the game, as we won`t see a cent from the revenues. Everything`s going into the accounts of the company that has bought out the rights from JoWooD / Dreamcatcher while we were left alone with Dreamcatcher still owing us a five-digits-sum.

Wow, so it's was really you, the one and only CEO of homegrown games, anyway, why did they rip you like that? I mean if you will look on to the youtube vids and other reviews, it seems the game earned so much cause lots of people played it. Can't you file a case against them?

Ok, I will put the demo onto my site and email me if you have time or I will just message you on facebook.

Do you have the right to distribute your own games to other platforms even if you have a publisher? If yes then you can distribute it to my site with no fee at all, just use your own paypal button and host your file, then I will publish it in the "buy games section". But if the contract with them is very strict then I guess we cannot do something about it. That is really sad.

But don't worry much, don't mind them, maybe a better and much bigger opportunity is waiting for you.

Can I put homegrown games as an affiliate to my site? Anyway your the CEO, so I better ask permission to you directly.

Edit: Can't see the demo, have tried the Germany and US mirror but it's not there, anyway maybe I'll just add it next time.. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to add into the dark to my site and nice knowing you.

No, bankruptcy is bankruptcy. It would be like kicking a dead horse to run faster. And yeah, I got ripped of, but I learned a lot from that. I got recently informations that the publisher earned something between 250.000 - 350.000 $ out of the game (Profit, not revenue)

You can, but don`t use the weblink, I`m not sure if I ever reactivate it. Take the Facebook link:

I never got into the raw shooter gameplay of this series but I certainly like the mapdesign You guys did an excellent job on that after all.

But tell me Ivan, since you cursed yourself with using these fancy new shaders we have now aswell: Did you come up with some black magic to trick the memory cap a little?

yes, i came up with some ideas that turned out to be working, unless you don`t use too much different segments. A level 3x the size as the showcase level or double the size of metro theater with 25 - enemies is within 1800MB now.

Many steps:

1. Basically I reduced the amount of different segments as much as possible and added variation to the existing ones with masked overlays.

2. Reduced the amount of weapons per level. Not more than 3 pickupable weapons per level, including the start weapon and the enemies weapons.

3. 1024PX textures on statics not bigger than 1,5 meter in diameter replaced by 512PX with decent normal maps.

4. All Textures resaved to *.dds BT3DX 3/5
