Hey there fellow forumers!

I'm experiencing some really annoying issues regarding the transparency of objects exported using Plant life. I've tried the trick with using

but this causes the grass to look like this when drawn

I've also tried the following

and this is what happens

If anyone knows how to fix this or if there is another way to do it, it would be appreciated

Regards, Dark onyx

I've tried all the different modes and they either have the blue outline or they look like crap and disapear with the distance.

One thing I've noticed is that the blue outline disapears when the rocks next to them are behind them. So I guess I have some issues with the terrain? I'm using advanced terrain.

It may be the transparency parodox. It's stated in the help files. The terrain is being rendered last because it's center is closer to the camera. The Zwrite command might work but it has its own issues.

I can't reproduce your blue edges/backdrop problem with any of the transparency modes 2 to 6. You can avoid the fading problem by turning off mipmapping on your foliage objects. This was discussed in a recent thread.

@ Mr Bigger,
Yea, that last code worked Cheers!

@ Green Gandalf,
Well, thanks for the help and the explanation. Did you use the advanced terrain plugin when you tried to replicate the backdrop color issue?

Yes.

I'm not sure about Mr Bigger's explanation, transparency modes 2 and 3 should ensure the foliage is rendered after the terrain regardless of the terrain's nominal distance from the camera. But I see his point for the other modes.
