Posting in the wrong forum, there's an FPSC forum for these kinds of questions.

I just now realized I've had a typo in my signature for the past 3 years.

The Scariest Horror Game Comp is the only one that I know of, and that ends in two days. But from what I've seen, competitions started by new members or members that don't have a very active forum rep don't seem to gather a lot of interest. It might help matters more if you held off on starting a contest until you have something to contribute to the prize list, rather than just pick a theme and then rely on the community to fill up your prize spots. Just my two cents.

I wouldn't mind jumping in on a James Bond Comp. Would finally give me the excuse I've been needing to remake the mulitplayer Archives map from the good 'ol 64 days.

EDIT: I just realized my comment could be taken as offensive. Thus, I removed.

Would be cool if you explain what " James Bond Compo" is...if we have to create games starring Pierce Brosnan, I doubt you'll get any interest

I would be interested if there was a FPSC netbook comp. Off course the games would not have the best graphics, but would focus on gameplay. It could allow users experiment with non combat game types. Something like portal as it had very little in the way of true bad guys to fight.

Just an idea.

I have been planning to run monthly competitions for some time now. Not for full games, but for models. There used to (2007, or something) be a monthly competition. If you were prepared to manage a monthly media design competition then I'd certainly be prepared to support it.

Aren't you a bit too young for the army... I was forced to join and I was probably 3-4 years older than you then...

Anyway,It would be fun to see a Modeling Compo specifically for FPS Creator (and add Scripts for bonus points for example).

Well, perhaps if I started monthly competitions you could help? Anyway, your bond competition sounds good. I'd definitely enter with a Goldeneye remake, right down to the 'nostalgic' graphics.

Why? There's no reason that two competetions can't run at the same time. And if you are planning on going with a modeling competition, it isn't going to take your partipants more than a few hours to whip up a valid entry. Plenty of time for them to get back to any other running comps.
