Hello! I am new to this board!

I only know Fuzzmaster in this board so Hello fuzz!

Ok, back the the game guys.

We are a small group of six 12 year old kids at Collage.
We had 3 games planned, they are:

Fighter Combat
Area 53 : The undercover mission
Born to Kill

No screenshots yet, but I will keep you updated on the progress of each game.

However, Area 53 is our biggest game yet. It was going to be home-made 3D, (not good!)

But then Fuzz told me about the 3D Game Creator.
wow.

I've never seen anything like this before. So now Area 53 will start production soon when I've finally bought it!

Be sure to check our website at www.gameguys.tk (under construction still!)

It is best viewed in 1024x780 resolution.

Thanks for reading! Bye!

Thanks for the welcome!

My school is called Costello Technology Collage.

I'm saving up for the 3D Game maker, I want it really badly! Is there a way I can get the trial version? I heard it's on a CD somewhere, if somebody has it could they upload it on www.freewebs.com or something for me please?

Eh that would be illegal. You gotta buy the product. Dont buy T3DGM,,,its really noobish and click and drag. Your not going to get anything done that is any good. Buy Dark Basic Professional. It requires more then a 4 year olds knowledge of house to move a mouse.

If you wanna just have fun and make short little games. Get T3DGM. If you wanna make REAL games that have playback quality, and make something you can brag about to your friends, get Dark Basic

Dark Basic is hard, I think I'll stick with T3DGM before I go into Dark Basic, thanks anyway.

A tech college is like a secondary school in most parts of Britain - similar to the old system of 11+ grammer schools. You took an exam, then the more able pupils went to the grammar school and the rest went to a tech college.

That was changed in most parts of england in favour of single-standard state schools. However I think the old system is still in place in the south.

A bit of history for you

A computer program will always do what you tell it to do, but rarely what you want to do.

@David - I went to a tech college for secondary school and I live in the south.

Good luck to the little dudes too! But switch to DB soon.

Edit - Wah! I'm back on the forums finally, decided I had to have my say in a few things.

So how do you use T3DGM? Do you have to create events or actions? or do you just put things in a level and let the pc do stuff?

you basically, select the type of game, eg racing fps, and then select the player the bullets you shoot enemy bosses levels object, theres a level editor that allows you to place objects, and enemys, ou can resize enemys and change the texyures around, but thats just about all you can do

if you make on game, the next game will look very similar to the 1st one,

if you are short on money i strongley suggest you get, dark basic, or if youve saved up enough then get darkbasic pro,

however coding, when you start off is pretty hard, but once you learn some basic commands and make a text adventure game, then youll carry on from there and make bigger and better games, the main difference from t3dgm and db/p is that when you code, your not limited by, amount of enemys ammount of levels, if you code you can make whatever you want, if you look on the showcase located on the game makers, main page you can see all the games made in bark basic/pro.

And you're in college?

You think DarkBASIC is hard, don't become a programmer...it doesn't get much easier than DB.

I had a friend and I said to him -

"Are you any good with DB"
And he said -
"No, it's too hard. I think I'll just learn ... C++ instead".

Oh, how I laughed. And now he's in college, learning VB, C++, java and binary. And the scary thing is, he's doing quite well in C++. And whenever I tell him that Im getting DBPro soon, and I tell him how cool it is, he still thinks that its not really that good.

Strange boy.

That's the way it tends to be. Lots of C++ programmers think VB totally sucks (in fact, I wouldn't be surprised if I got a reply from a C++ programmer quoting that very line and saying "VB DOES suck!"), when they've probably never even used it. I can tell you that VB does NOT suck. It may not be the BEST for game making (of any sort), but you can do it; also, you can develop software with more ease. C++ is however more powerful. See, there's an advantage to both sides, but both sides constantly tell each other how much better they are. Go figure.

I'm 12 years onld (just about 13, in 2 months)
and I'm in year 8.

So I guess that's high school, but what confuses me why It's called Costello Technology collage

That's weird because high school where I live (around Birmingham) doesn't start until year 9. It makes you wonder why they didn't sort all this out when they got rid of the 11+.

This forum is supposed to be for program announcements, programs you have already worked on and can provide some evidence for the existence of (even a screen shot would be nice). Please save all the HELLO EVERYBODY IMA NOOB talk until you got something real to post here.

A technology college is basically a secondary school that has applied to have "Technology college" beside it's name. This usually means that it's tech/IT facilities are superb. I am currently at a grammar school (took the 11 plus too..at least I don't have long to go till I leave) And it is called a "Science College" - unfortunately it doesn't mean you're at college yet little dude

Finally!

I have enough money!
When I have mastered T3DGM (which can be done in seconds)
I will have a look at DarkBASIC language,

Expect some screenshots in 1 week

Oh and one more thing, how many levels/badguys can you have in a level?
