WIP of a door from Resident Evil, (PC Texture Mod Version)

left is how it looked originally
Right side has added definition to make it look more solid and real.

Looking for feedback or ideas on how to improve as will be exporting to FPSC if possable.

So you ripped the model or at least the texture? If so, you cannot do that here. In your own game fine, but don't try to release it here or you might start those well known flame wars.

Be Careful.

...please post the obligatory ingame screenshot, to prevent this thread from
being locked.

I must agree with starmind 001's advice. Showing this is fine. Sharing it is not.

I don't care much for copyright, but don't intentionally break it i just saw a pic of this and thought, "I'd like to model that", which is rare as I rarely do 3d modeling as not that good at it

I think its complete now, I know the lock isnt 100% right, In RE4 i think it can have a plank of wood across it to lock it.
I did this using the 1 texture as i know FPSC has issues with multi-texturing.

Thanks, Was just working on the locks, not exact, but better than i had it originally, will update the 3D Warehouse Version later but pic below shows the new lock design, The 2 Large Slats are to hold a plank of wood, (to lock the doors).

okay I have to agree, why rip either the model or texture (or both) when it's nothing that is that complex to do?

I understand that you said you are not that good at 3d modeling, but you can obviously do somewhat of a good job enough to bother posting a WIP on here.

myself for example I'm good/great/decent at creating the 3D modeling, but can't for the life of me do texturing. That is one of the greatest things about the community here on the forums, there are always people willing to help, all you have to do is ask. Starmind will confirm that, as he has helped me in the past on things with the starship troopers fan pack for example.

i think its a good job... on thing i noticed though is on one of your planks you have the metal were there should be would... I dont think thats it a good idea to rip textures either but at the same time i dont think it will hurt if your just using it for practice. Practice any means you can and have fun...

Thanks, Practice Makes Perfect, i say im not that good at Modeling as i say your as good as people will pay, And i've never been paid for any models, or any computer skills, (Maybe i need a new job)

Anyway, Heres the final picture from both sides for people who cant be bothered with the SketchUp link above, Solid door on one side with Locks, Metal Frames, Wood Supports, Ect, Very Solid Looking, And then from the front pictured on the right below, A more plain, simple, but solid door look, (Had to use a 2nd texture for this side).
