Bug Reports / [DBP 7.7] Windows 7 SP1 breaks DBP programs - "The parameter is incorrect"

My computer updated to Windows 7 64-bit service pack 1 yesterday, and today none of my DBP programs would run. When run from Codesurge, programs would simply not do anything. When run as standalone EXEs, an error message would name the EXE and say "The parameter is incorrect," as described in this thread. Today I uninstalled the update, and the errors have disappeared.

Perhaps more something for people to be aware of than a fixable bug, but here it is.

With RC are you using in U7.7? It should work in U7.7 RC6. (since lee fixed that from RC3.)

As for the thread as they were talking about FPSC, they need the latest FPSC Beta as that should fix the error.

Oh, how about that, Lee specifically addressed it. No, I must have an older version of 7.7. Thanks!

For the benefit of others with the same issue, like me, I have included the link to the U77 Public Release Candidate.

Click here to find Lee Bamber's post.

This fixed my issue with programs not running after updating Win 7 to SP1.

ok so i too had the same problem...installed the update in lee bambers post... the performance of my programs just died.... completely...Whats going on??

i went from 7.5 to 7.7 is there an older release that works that is faster?

I just released my music program to everyone....found this bug....updated it and now it runs slow as hell!

check my forum post and compare the 2 exes playing back the same song.....big big difference!!

ok i found the quicker update

use rc3 as its performance is much faster then rc7

something went terribly wrong between the releases!!

RC3 Just Saved Qmidi Studio from a major embarrassing release of slowness.
