Does anybody know what this does? It doesn't seem to make a character entity spawn any faster.

I am making a character walk to a certain point. No problem there. I then destroy or make him disappear and then another similiar character appears through spawning. However, the spawned character (I use appear1.fpi which is instant appear) still spawns slowly and from the ground up. It's not real smooth.

I have tried the velocity (maybe I am not sure what is meant by the term) using 0 through 1000000. The latter values were in large increments. Zero through 1000 were in smaller increments.

The spawn looked the same in all cases. At least that I could see.

I apparently don't understand what "velocity" means with spawning.

If you open up the volcanospawn.fpm in the mapbank/tutorial folder you can see it in action. The rocks which spawn from the volacno fly upwards and depending on what you set their velocity to they will move at different speeds

A man will one day wear a tophat in glasgow on a sunny day juggeling grapes while humming the jurrasic park theme tune.

Thanks Thraxas. I guess it is useful but not for what I would like to do.
