Our WW2 game (2 year development) is a write-off and was shelved for the moment. We remade it in v1.17 and when it came time for the build, we discovered it would crash at one of the smallest segment levels used as a save point. We took the save point levels out, still had issues. Started a rebuild from scratch in v1.18 and could not build at all. FPS rates were terrible, some entities were missing textures, on and on the errors compounded. It was a 20 level game- two levels underground, 8 were outdoor, and 10 were our small segment-room "save points".
Our SciFi and Egyptian game developments work perfectly so far (knock on wood). We're building in v1.17 and test/build each level or major change. Once the level is finalized and clear, we add to the master build list and build the master each time we add a level to ensure no issues. Fingers crossed, we are hoping this will work out for us.

It will vary for people. What works for one may not work for another. You can't discredit those that have issues- just note them and when you encounter the same, you can refer back to see how a solution was found.
