I would guess you should delete frames, like every second one to speed it up 2 times, every third to speed it up to 1.5x and so on.

To change how fast the specific animation is, import your model. Now view this screenshot (attached). Find the running section of the animation, and delete every other frame within it. Now export your model back out as .X Be sure to backup the original.

Learn to model and script, and use the search bar. The answer to all FPSC questions

Ok, this is the HOW-NOT-TO-DO-IT approach. But if you really don't care if everything else your character does is sped up a lot, then just re-export as .x but with a FPS of 40+ (NOTE that this will increase the speed of everything this character does!) Also, did you delete the .bin and .dbo files after changing?

@Design Runner

Please forgive me but I have to ask. Have you actually tried that method? In my experience FPSC completely ignores the models frame rate. I have added animations to an entity and exported it with a frame rate of 60000. The default animations and the additional frames ran at normal speed. The only conclusion, if that works for you is that I’m doing something wrong. If that is the case please fill me in. What I would do to speed up the animation is right click on the entity and change its speed under the statistics section. Also you could modify the script, I’m sure there are actions like “movefor” or others that may help to accomplish this.

Thanks.

Yes, I have tried that method with weapons. The default frame rate is 25, but I have exported at 30 or more to achieve the desired effect and it has worked. But your way is probably better.

So it works with weapons. Good thing to know.

Thanks, DR
