I was stuck in the parallel universe working on the
FPS creator inventory script when I noticed little white dots in my wall texture. Gimp does not show any errors or white dots.

So gang, any help how to fix that?
(texture file is .dds, room was made with model maker and I use v118 pub. beta 9)

1. Are you using shaders? If yes (and depending on which one), check the Spec and / or Illu map if you have the points there.

2. Did you use any odd dds compression when saving? Did you try saving the diffuse as tga and then retesting after delting dbo files?

Come to where the madness is:

1. No segments shaders, only filmgrain from bond1
2. No saved it normaly as I always would, yes replacing texture with tga and adding diffuse texture in .tga after cleanup, didn`t fixed the problem.

Its really odd, it never did that before.

Increase brightness of texture by 5. Should fix it.

Its probably just some pixels that are full 0,0,0 rgb (black), FPSC handles that as transparant, making your backdrop visable, assuming your skybox is blueish/white.

If you have a bright skybox and your segment has black spots, they will appear transparent and you would see the skybox through them? Just a quess as that happened to me some time ago.

Any pixels that are pure black (0,0,0) will be transparent like Red Eye says. Just change the colour slightly (0,0,1 for example).

Ok, that worked very well.
Increasing the brightness of texture by 7 fixed the problem.
