Hi,

I'm trying to load an image into the game, only to break it down into smaller images (tileset). However, after loading the image, it looks horrible.
I HAVE added the ",1" at the end (texture flag). What is happening?

The dimensions of the image are 128x15971.

Thanks,
Jeff

Are you using ,1 on the GET IMAGE command as well? Without it it's possible to load an image perfectly only to have it blured because it wasn't grabbed right.

Well, the point is that the original image (the huge one) is blurred already, before I even do anything with it.

How do you check on this? i mean, do you use 'paste image', or what?

Yeah, I do use paste image.
I checked another image with the SAME code, but with different dimensions (360x5000) and it wasn't blurred.

When you load the image what does DBPro report for its width and height?

I think it's the image res causing you problems - like having such a strange image height, non square... bad times for a lot of GFX card hardware.

I would suggest upping your anti - make the image 2048x2048, giving you 256 different 128x128 images instead of 124.7 - main thing is that it should be better for compatibility, and it might get rid of the blurring. It might actually make any mipmapping behave, as that relies on 'power of 2' sizes.

Yes, that would be my advice too.
