hi , i0m attemmting to retexure my entities in fpsc and i tried with crazy bump...

i follow all turorials i found on the forum, but i dont have the effect i need

i would to retexure barrel in model pack 3

the entity is Bar01 and in the fpe file the associated texure is

Barrel-03_D2.tga

so i lounched crazy bump and opened the file..

after i applied the mesh of the barrel (the .x) file and saved 4 versions of the file
Normal Barrel_03_N.dds
Diffuse Barrel_03_D2.dds
Diffuse Barrel_03_D.dds
Specular Barrel_03_S.dds

i put the 4 files in fpsc\files\mk3\misc

after i added in the fpe file the effect is that way

effect= effectbank\bumpcuberefletcalpha\bumpcuberefletcalpha.fx

..

saved all

test game..

but dont work

please

help me

in fpe only add textured = texture_D2.dds

No need for the rest then, gets automatically used.

tho on the screenshot it does look like u have bumpmap enables... Normal map = bump

I could be wrong, but I think the bumpcubereflectalpha requires the entity to be dynamic.

Shaders do not work in a test game, only in a build.

Try replacing the _S image with an _I image which is a copy of the _N.
