If I create 3 levels - Level 1 containing interior of one house, Level 2 containing interior of another house and Level 3 containing an exterior road between the two "houses"/levels. Is it possible to let the player to freely move between the houses and enter them whenever he wants?

When you compile or "build" a game, you just go from level 1 to level 2, 3, 4 etc with no ability to go back to a level backwards.

Thanks

There is a level command to choose the level you like to go to next if it is out of order.

Going forward is no problem, say from level 1 to level 4. However, going back presents a problem because you will start all over again -- as if you are beginning the level for the first time.

The latest version of FPSC (the beta at least) has an FPI command to go the any level desired.

Or I guess I could just make level duplicates with adjustments. Do you know if the items and weapons that the player picks up in level 1 get to be transfered to level 2?

It kinda sucks that the level size can only be 40 X 40 in wideness and length.

Thanks to the new variable system you could have some conditions that (with variables) checks if somethings allready has happened. Like talking to a guy, after you have talked to him the first time a global variable would be set to 1. Then you go to the next level, when getting back to the first level the variable would still be 1 and you wont be able to talk to the guy...

But still its possible

Maybe a fellow scriipter jumps into the thread with a script?

No guarantee that it will work staright from the box (code box, but would at least be a start.
This script should be put as the main script.

I highly recommend learning to script in FPSC. Scripts will open many new venues for your gameplay.
