What are your system specs?

Edit: And MP38 is $30...just going to throw that out there.

I reject your stereotype of Wisconsin and, in fact, live in a city.

intel Core i5 - 430M
DDR3: 4GB
HDD:sata 320GB
VGA: intel GMA HD ( <-- graphix card )

ive come to a\ conclusion its because my computer does not support sharders and another point that leads to this conclusion is that i have a laptop, and most laptops dont support shaders , but still please tell me if im correct or not, or even if this affects my problems or not.

´he did say its a laptop, so getting new gfx.. is nt really a option. You can switch to 2.0 shaders and see if it works (if it doesent support 2.0, throw it out of the window)

I have intel gma and I can run pixel shader 4.0. It's a little slow with post processing, but it works. Are you using BETA 10 of 1.18. I think there are some shaders and stuff from some of the newer models packs that need updating, but it has been posted they won't be till 1.18 become official. If you are using 1.18, you might need to do without the effect till it is an official release, or keep using the official 1.17.
