I would like to build some shapes out of tri's, adding each triangle's mesh to a master object. But... when I texture the object, each limb (triangle) gets its own copy of the texture.

Is there a way to save a "built by hand" object that would let the texture be applied to the whole thing at once?

Yes. You will need to edit the UV coordinates of each triangle as you added it. Use the vertexdata commands:

GG - I was afraid it would be something like that. That's a little more work than I want to put into it. Thanks for the response though!
