Sounds good, will part 2 of the community guide be added to the video tutorials as well?

You've got yourself a large task on your hands. It'll certainly be worth it though. Many people are visual learners and this should prove to be invaluable as a result.

Good luck!

But still perfectly understandable, even for people from foreign countries... compared to some folks in London, I've spoken to, it almost sounds like a completely different language.

Good luck!

There will be a delay in getting this off the ground for 2 reasons.

1) My tooth is infected! Oh the fun fun pain! Best not talk too much for the next few weeks!

2) Still waiting for permissions.

But as soon as theses clear up and come through I'll get to work!

Permission granted.

Quote: "The voice is TOO british lol"

Sounds clear, and I can understand what he is saying.
Noted one thing though...it's Rolfy, not RolfLy. lol

Quote: "Brilliant idea!"

Ditto

I hope you plan to break it down into sections rather than making it one long video.
Some users still have bandwidth restrictions and might not be able to handle very large downloads well.
It would also make it modular, so only the sections that are needed for their inquiry would need to be downloaded.
That would save on the servers workload as well.
I only mention this suggestion because I noticed that second example video is nearly two hours long.

I am willing to help you anyway I can, if there are any scripting tips or examples that have not been covered, which users would like to see included.
Just let me know if I can help in any way, and I will do my best to make the time to do so. (need to get caught up on some other tasks first)

The first video has hit draft, it should be up in the next 72 hours I am just producing extra graphics in my spare moments, to get first look subscribe to http://www.youtube.com/dcforemanuk or just view the first and last post in this thread.

The first tutorial is xpolsys's intrductary fpi script tutorial. I'll simply call this tutorial zero because it's designed to prepare users for subsequent Tutorials.

Will do, just confirm your user handle in the document if it differs from your current user name.

Woo Hooo! I got a zero!

You do know that it's "xplosys" and not "xpolsys", right?

I always pronounced it: ex-plo-sys

It was supposed to be a monkey / kangaroo fire-breathing hybrid. And it would be 70 km tall, and keep a giant laser in it's pouch.

I copied and pasted it directly from the documentation this time! I hope I got it right! Because your name occupies the bottom line for the whole video! (Yes, I did just check the video)

update that no one cares much about:

But I did mispell for, as or on the end credits. So it's thanks to Xplosys or writing this tutorial now. :S

I would upload again, but it's taken me 9 hours to upload. My broadband's upload rate sucks. It's failed twice as well. Can't wait to get out of this contract! * ponders * I wonder if breaking into Talk Talk Business's HQ and threatening the owners life would get me out of the £125 early release fee?

It seemed there were a couple of repeated lines but overall I thought it worked quite well. The illustrations and text overlays were well done and definitely added to the presentation.

Nice job.

I'm not getting the responses I need when I request permission from individual tutorial authors, so the projects dead in it's tracks until I do so.
