right click the decal in the editor and alter the settings for it. It is trial and error if you don't know the exact angles to put in!

But some of them like the water decals only have settings for the name, script and decal, nothing else :/

What version of FPSC are you using? v118 has particle settings for all decals. I have benges animated sprite pack and the "flowing water" decal has the particle settings. However, I'm not sure with this particular sprite pack you can change the direction of the sprite or use the particle settings. For example I can't get the water flow to change through rotating the arrows. I think the arrows are just an indication where the sprite is going to sit and how much of the area will contain the sprite. You just have to make your level in accordance with the direction of the flow. I changed a couple of particle settings and that didn't work. The sprite has been made to fit in a 100x100 segment. So what I would do is press the "B" key so that you can position the sprite in the middle of the segment. This way you get a seamless look.

Well I'm using V118 but not all the decals have the particle settings, well that sucks making the level in accordance to the animation because that means I have to remake stuff..

Make sure that you're using "decalfixed.fpi" as the main script, as that will keep the original rotation without facing the player.

Your not the first or the last to have to remake levels. I am currently having to remake my second level of a game. Won't go into reasons why. Very early on my very first game totally got screwed up because of update changes. I should have never had changed to the updates. The result was to remake all 19 levels.

I suggest to stick to v118. Eventually there will be a v119 beta released after v118 goes official. Do not try to change versions if you want to finish a game.

Also, make backups as you go along. Make a section. Back it up and rename the level for the next section. For example:

Level01_a. First section.
Level01_b. First section and second section.
Level01_c. First section, second section and third section.

For each partial level make sure it compiles properly into a stand-alone game that works as expected.

These tips are from experience.

You might want to wait a little longer before starting the level over to give others time to respond to this thread. I might be missing something.
