...but i havent touched these forums for well over 7 years!
I do believe i still have the hang this though.

So, first of all a big hello to all the dinosaurs in here.
Things seem to have changed a bit. For the better.
I decided to pay a visit to DB like an old friend. Maybe do a bit of coding here and there.

I used to own DB but that was a long time ago and my main consern is, how much has it changed since 1.11 (i think thats the last i used)

We used to have speed issues back then. I doubt that's the case anymore. We used to have collision detection issues too! Model importing, texturing problems, the whole pack! Mostly because most of us didnt know how to make things work
So how is the situation today?
Where do i start for the second time?

Hello Digger and welcome to my Kingdom,
In your absence I have risen to great power and taken dominion over the DBC board! To use this board you must pay me tribute... gimme teh codez!

I haven't been on the forums long enough to remember you, but I am happy to be the first to welcome you back
If you haven't already done so, there is an update for DBC 1.2 in the stickies of this board, it is free to download so go ahead.

If you left before 1.12 you basically missed all the fun stuff! We now have memblocks, material commands, err I can't remember what is new but there's quite a bit.

Welcome back! Well, the "date joined" says you joined just a day ago, why is that?

I joined this forum a day ago, that is true.
Even if my original account existed from the first DB forum I wouldnt remember the name or pass

I am quite certain i can get straight to coding right now with DB.
The questions i have are oriented more towards compatibility issues.
Win7 support, gfx drivers, DirectX compatibility and the like.
Where would i start checking things like that?

DBC is for free now??? wow...

ps.first version of DB i used was 0.9

Em, DBPro is free now . I suggest you switch to it, since it's free and is more powerful than DBC .

PS. Welcome back

Look at the "getting started" sticky, it should have most compatibility solutions you are looking for but I'm not sure if that thread deals with windows 7 or just vista.
