I know this is like the most stupid question ever but how do I back-up my fpsc levels? I've encountered a problem with it and want to re-install it to see if it will fix it.

I know I ask stupid questions but someone has too

Your levels are saved in the folder called 'mapbank'. You'll see it under the 'files' folder. Save the mapbank folder before uninstalling and reinstalling. Also, FPS Creator has a repair function which will replace the program files with the original version and won't touch your other files. At least, that's the theory so go ahead and backup what you need.

Yep. Ideally you backup to another computer, drive, removable device, etc... but in this case the same drive should be fine.

Just get to where you can see the mapbank folder. Right click on it and select 'Copy'. Now right click on your desktop, Documents folder, wherever you want to put it and select 'Paste'. That's it.
