I don´t know if this works for ya but for me its working:
Just place a soundzone at the radio (the sound-source)
the choose the script "repeatsound.fpi" and then choose your sound.
If you´re walking far away it gets quiet.

Current project: Junkys Home, a X9 project where you wakeup in a dark apertment and your goal is to get out of there.
But you´re not alone...

there are a few ways to achieve the 'effect' you want, but unfortunately even with the utmost of testing, I couldn't get it to fade 100%. I managed to get it to a low volume by having the initial volume of the sample cut down by a massive 90%, which when you're close to the decal/entity it can repeat a sound, but you either have a complete cut-off or a very low sound of it.

It is possible to override with adjustment of your music, but the cut-off sounds amateur. The only way to do it would be to have the entity in a room/open space, repeat the sound when the player is in such a distance and have a cutoff when he goes through another door, but any doors/exits from that room would all have to be within the same distance.

FPSC supports 3D sound. I will look up the commands for you.

C++ is labourless... if your name starts with 'L' and ends with 'ee'.

Sorry, a mistake on my part. It does not. However, there is a way to emulate this. Apply this script to your radio. It has not been tested, but it should work.
