OK, lots of questions today - been doing lots of coding. I was getting some last minute stuff in before I went to bed. Im adding a picket fence to the game. Didnt want it high poly so I said "hey! Ill just use a plain!" That didnt work so well.

I set the image colorkey to 0,0,0, then set the transparency on (example below) But the weird part is, if there isnt an object BEHIND the object that has transparency, the object has a weird 'glow' around it.

Example pic:

See, when the bush is behind the object, no glow. But when it isnt,,weird huh?

Heres the texture (sry slow internet users - had to use BMP or it makes some of the black pixels not black)

And now for the code

[img]Make Object Plain 16,140,125
Set Object Transparency 16,1
Texture Object 16,24
Position Object 16,2072,70,3655[/img]

Any help here? A bug maybe?

fear not the solution is below.

the white haze is caused by lights...solution:
set object light 16,0

you might also try
ghost object on 16,0
or
ghost object on 16,1 (cant remember which)

hope this helps

w00t -what does it mean?

Nothin is working

The 255,0,128 doesnt do anything.

The light commands dont do anything. If I ghost the object, the parts of the object that dont have an object behind them completely dissapear.

another method... the lost command (as it should be called):

"disable object zwrite objectnumber"

No, it will not light up blue when you type it, but yes it does work...

Current Projects: Game Spawn 85%, mini BSP maker 50%, Height Mapper with many features 75%, Space Tactical (Like BC300AD) 15%.
