Is there a library, dll or plugin for Dark Basic Pro that allows you to load and play (and save) soundfonts? I already downloaded the MIDI libraries, now I just need a way to play a multisample format in DB Pro.

Thanks for your help.

Mike

I don't think there is any dll for DBPro that will allow you to do that.
DBPro uses the standard General MIDI (GM) sounds installed on each computer that either came with the motherboard or expansion sound card.

Soundfonts are really either tied to specific synthesizer software or with MIDI hardware as a custom add-on. Trying to use a soundfont for general usage with DBPro would be fairly buggy at best.

Loading and playing GM files is about all the MIDI DBPro can handle.
You can always use sampled sounds with DBPro, but not as your MIDI sounds.

If you are doing something cool with MIDI in DBPro I would love to see what you come up with, I have been playing with MIDI for some time in DBPro.
