Did you make the models this time around and if not, do have permission from the original creator to redistribute them?

Well, Seth, at least it's a start if he has decided to go legit.

I don't know. Dr. Jeremiah James in Stickman land? Possibility?

Seth Black,
I don't really know where you are going with this?
Why do you not like me, I am only trying to help?
Is there anything I can do for you to make you feel better?

I can just feel the radiance of sarcasm and trolling this will bring.

Seriously though, the everyone ragging on him thing needs to just cool
down. I mean, I get what he has been doing and everything; I'm just
saying, why the trolling? I think the best approach is just to ignore
him and report any fishy stuff straight to the mods; simple enough.

Seth frankly that was unnecessary... whatver trouble he may have caused in the past, I get the feeling that ZeoWorks isnt really someone who is intentionally pirating (atleast thats the impression I get from his posts)...

@Zeoworks: Good start, but you have a ways to go man. Those stickfigures could potentially be useful to make some kind of 3d stickman games but for the texture quality. Keep working though and remember- as a general rule NEVER post someone else's work as your own!

Cheers,
Anayar

Thank you anayar, I am new to posting on the fpsc forums and I dident know what I was doing was agenst the rules, Next time I will read the rules first.
I will make my models from now on and I will not ever reverse engineer again or take models without permission, Like I said I did not know this.
I will make legit models. And sorry for the stickmen quality, Everyone has to start from somewere right?

I'm surprised here... This ZeoWorks must think that we don't know what's up, here... You pretty much gave yourself up there... As if I need to explain, no one would buy 3DS Max with such little modeling knowledge. So...the only other explanation would be pirating. But we'll let the pirate gods decide your fate.

And I'm pretty amazed that you guys made Seth redact so much. He's (usually) the most straight-up guy on these forums. He was simply telling the blunt truth. You don't like it, maybe you shouldn't deal with "real" people.

Well, I suppose these aren't the worst models I've seen, though. If you did, in fact, make these legitimately, then I'd say it's a decent start. Keep at it, yo.

Pride, I wouldn't speculate loudly on that, as it's offence that causes problems on these forums per se.

You would be suprised at what people with plenty of money buy, I had a neighbour who spent £2300 on video editing software and the one he ended up learning and using was just £30...

I must have missed the boat with this joke, seems to me ZeoWorks has offended a few people already I don't know how (will guess at ripping something or stealing?) but we shouldn't judge. We don't like pirates, I detest them and always have done (since the days of standing around Bowlers in Manchester with them hiding in bushes) but we really should be supporting the education and learning curve of future modellers, scripters and alike without speculation imo.

ZeoWorks, a word of warning, if you have pirated any software whether it is FPS Creator or 3d modelling software, do the decent thing and buy it because you WILL get found out eventually and if that happens you will be waving "bye bye" to a growing and innovative community here.

Peace.

Of course it is. That way you get out of having to wash it the next day you're doing the dishes

Quote: "there is a trial version"

Yeah, a lot of people around here seem to be using 3DSM, but no one can really assume anything since there is a trial version available. Though I suppose we can assume that all someone has to do to actually obtain this trial/student version is simply tell them you're a student of any particular art or grade and then you get the trial? Certainly it can't only be limited to industry-specific students, otherwise; a lot of people here are older than they project to be.

EDIT: Checked the site. Looks like it's only a 30 day trial. I thought someone said there's a 2-year student trial or...something? Guess it's 30 days for me, then.

Whatever the case may be..

Zeo, keep hammering away at learning how to create characters.

I have yet to make a hard honest attempt at it, just static props, segments and such so far.

Right from the bottom of the page. Therefore, noncommercial guys. And I would agree with That Guy John. Keep practicing, and you will get there.

Thanks for the link, adamW]. Yeah, I caught that fine print right at the very end of the page as well, Design Runner. So unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any use that I can get out of the student version. I believe that also means that ZeoWorks has run into yet another technicality here if he's using the Max trial to create these assets.

Unless he's using it for educational purposes (IE: creating content for a non-commercial game/project)... There's too many loopholes to cover the legalities of the small print contained within.

Oh, I'm fairly certain there are others that have crossed this- technicality- as you put it, but have found a work-around to navigate that fine print of the agreement.

ZeoWorks, stick with a smaller application for making your models and such. Search out Milkshape, Wings3d, Blender just to start. Mentioning one uses 3dsmax here is not exactly a good thing- you will end up having the "gang" jump all over you. Particularly the fact that it is quite expensive- my wife and I know because we have a loan that just got paid off which covered the cost of all the software and such our company has purchased and uses on a daily basis.

Hi.
Thank you for your posts.
I admit the models are a little bit off the hook but like I said, Everyone has to start from somewere right?

And yes I did not buy 3ds Max, My dad bought 3ds Max for his projects in 2008. I am allowed to use the program, He sometimes shows me how to do things on it. As for milkshape I have the trail, I also have the trail of Fragmotion, They are both great softwares.
I got interested in 3Ds Max in the late 2009, Also I have been doing rigging since 2010 and I admit I am still not the best at it. lol
I have made youtube videos of my rigging, If you would like to go to youtube and type in ZeoWorks sometime you can watch my videos.
There are a lot of modeling programs out there and I attend to learn how to use them. I have used other programs like sculptris which I have to say I think it is the easiest way to model. Please don't exspect all my models to be as good as these stickmen lol. I will do better, But I gess these models can be used for a fun stickman minigame?

I wouldn't use 3ds max for learing 3d, especially for fpsc. Because those stickmen must be very high poly
