So I am looking for the realistic sizes of things. Before, I was using 1 grid unit as 1 foot (so 1x = 1 foot, 2x = 2 feet, etc.) Is this realistic? Or should I change my measurements? If so, to what?

For example, say I have a car that's 8 feet long, 5 feet wide, and 4 feet tall, what would the actual grid size be of the car?

Hope this question makes sense, If not, I will attempt to rephrase it (tired right now so can't think straight)

Only the proportions count, what size you do things in doesn't mean anything, since it is all virtual.

Though beware of too high position values on the other hand, because i heard that at the 100.000's, movements can become unstable, and jittery.

So size your things in a way you wouldn't have to go so high up in positions.

If you are going to use Newton(or other physics engines?) I recommend you use the specific scale. In newton make object cube 1,1 would be 1m³ size.

If you don't use physics I think it could be pretty much anything, for example if you use 3d software I would recommend using that scale so you can easily size everything in the 3d software.
If you use Darkbasic measurements you can pretty much choose them however you like, character can be 180 or 50 or 7 units tall, it can be anything if you use the same scale for every object.
