You MADE a sports pack when you claim in the other thread that you cant model a BOX? Come on... Im bot sure whats going on here but understand that there are few people willing to do so much stuff for free around here (or anywhere!). Try posting in someone's request thread (Id point you to mine, but Im just going to let that die for a while)

Cheers,
Anayar

Look it's a lot easier to make a sphere than it is a cube but I'm still not sure how to size it right...

step 1:press the cube button in your modelling program
step 2: place the cube
Nah just kidding, if you're using blender I can understand.

I may do some of these for free, but money makes the world go round so if I have to spend a lot of time on them or if they end up very good I may charge.

Well, creature wise here's a high poly model I've made (I can reduce the polygons easily)

I intend it to be in my latest game project (Contact) but when it's finished I may give it to you (probably not for free depending on how to animations work out)

I don't see why. For a sphere you select 'add sphere', and for a cube you select 'add cube'. They're both just basic primitives. If you've already stepped into modeling, that's great. The next step is to spend a few weeks watching and repeating what you learn from the thousands of FREE video tutorials available on Youtube, regardless of what modeling program you're using. Otherwise, you'll very soon learn that you're not going to far in this field without any ability to model, and no money to have someone else do it for you.

Not really. If he's using Blender; the cube is already there for him when he opens it up He doesn't really even need to scale it in Blender if he doesn't know how because he can do that in the .fpe file.

There is a download here for the entity maker. Download it and watch the tutorials. Then you can get your models into FPSC.

There are hundreds, perhaps thousands of models on these boards, why do you need anything, make a game with whats already been made.

If you plan on making a commercial game, I wouldn't reccomend fps creator IMO.

It is a very limited engine as it's polygon capacity is extremely low, there is no proper way of getting terrain. The Ai will most likely never get even as good as Halo and the graphics aren't way too flash.

I'm currently starting on a new project with 5 of my friends and I'm looking into getting a licence for Cryengine3. It does require some time and effort to obtain (involves registering a business and website) but it is an incredibly flexible, next gen engine.

Why would they need to be new for that? A zombie model that's 3 years old is no less a zombie model than one that was just made yesterday.

...then you should definately reconsider your original 'you'll be in the credits and that's it' offer. Can't imagine more than a small handful of modelers out there eager to dedicate countless hours of their time on a game simply to have their [unknown] name(s) to be mentioned in the credits while you rake in all the money.

Threeworlds manager,

I think a lengthy wishlist of free models might rub some the wrong way.

I'm certainly not a modeler or an game development expert, but having run my own company in another field...

There are 3 ways to go about enlisting aid in a creative endeavor...

1) Beg. You did that already. Although it may garner some results short term, it usually won't get a serious project anywhere near completion.

2) Pay. If you believe in your project, then paying others to aid you should be of the first order. This isn't saying you will always have the finances to pay for assistance, but you should always try to find the finances for payment (salary, trade, barter, etc.). Asking people to work for free should never be SOP (standard operating procedure). It's an issue of respect.

3) Pitch. If begging isn't your style and you don't have funds, pitch you game idea to enlist aid. If it's an interesting, new, or inventive idea, it will attract talent. If it's a poor idea (or lack of development, planning, or the ability to execute), you obviously won't attract a team.

There are many talented people offering amazing models and resources within this forum free of charge. In fact, you may find most of what you're looking for simply using "search," but if you don't, I'd take a moment to think about the actions listed above... and whether you have the funds to pay for quality work... or whether your project is strong enough to attract quality artists.

Just my 2 cents.

@CapnBuzz, the problem with your number 3 is that "pitch" threads get locked here (though I realize you were just talking in general field). I would change your 3 to something more forum fitting. Something maybe like;

3) Learn a Skill. Learn to model, or program, or even compose music/sound effects. Bring more to the table than just a game idea; which are all worth about a dime a dozen in the industry (everyone has them, but what they're all looking for are people that can make that idea into a game).

Just my dollar ninety-eight.

Ill do the models for you right after i help ID Software with RAGE and secure financial investment for dukenukem 4 ever 2 (seeing it took so long first time round to come out)

Do it your self, or dont do it at all, thats the message here, and if your gonna have some one else do it, then PAY them, or go on TGC and buy all the model packs for 300 quid and your sorted mate!
