I have followed the instructions from the community guide but I can't seem to get lip sync to work....

Please help me.

I get the .lipsync file and all that but I have no clue how to apply it to the player.

Thanks for any help

If this is the Dark Voices thing, I think the characters you're trying to get talking have to be rigged for it or else they won't work. Sorry, I'm more or less in the dark about most of the new features that made their way into the migration at the moment, as I haven't really gotten the chance to look at them.

Ok. This one's simple. In you file folder

C:\Program Files (x86)\The Game Creators\FPS Creator\Files\audiobank\darkvoices

There is a file called convertALLWAVfiles. Record you voices in wav format. Then place them in this folder and run the covertALLWAVfiles. Then set your characters main script to behaviors>greet player.fpi

Okay now look at the attachment here. See the last item. That's the sound your character will say. Only characters rigged to the darkvoices mouths will move, however all characters will look at you and say the line. The regular characters mouths won't move though.

Enjoy.

See, I have a problem, because though I record mine in .wav format, I do not get a LIPSYNC file, and as of yet, no one has been able to (or has chosen) to tell me why. I have downloaded the Speech SDK or whatever as it asked, and I still am not receiving one. I've tried running it as an administrator, running it normally, having one .wav in the folder at a time, and having all at once. It says it's finished processing them and to press a key to finish...however, it never gives me anything. Can someone please help me out?

What are you using to record and or export your wav files? Try different settings i.e. 44,400 khz, 16,000 khz, 8-bit, 16-bit etc. You might be using non compatible settings. I will try to record a wav start to finish this weekend and make tutorial if I have time.
