No, there isn't. What you can do however is download WINE for mac, and DBC will run. (At least I think so, the last update for WINE included DX9). Another option you have is to install Windows on a VM.

That wasn't very nice SMD_3D Interactive. You should have just sent him a virus...though not coded in DB of course.

There are 2 kinds of computer users in this world... The ones that use Windows, and the ones that wish they could.

No version of DBC or Pro for mac, however A Virtual Machine (XP) is your best alternative.

Thanks RickV,

Just since this is the top result on Google for "darkbasic mac", I wanted to give a quick update that I have successfully rebuilt my DarkBasic Pro 2007 game for Mac with Wine and even released it again for redistribution with WineBottler (details in my other thread). The only issue is looping audio not working (it instantly loops less than half a second into each audio file, so I'm glad I left an option to disable music) but otherwise seems to have full graphical, input, speed, code, etc functionality. I don't have comparison footage, but I have run into no known differences other than looping audio specifically, and even non looping audio works just fine.

Hopefully this helps someone - TheComet's "At least I think so" comment had me curious but uncertain, and I wanted to let everyone know that hope actually seems to be pretty high on this one. At the least, I have a game running that only has its music broken, so I would strongly recommend giving Wine a shot. And thanks for the tip, TheComet!
