Ok, Now I have done this many many times, with no problems, but for some reason I can not paste any image in my menu. The image just will not show up, so mabey Im just being blind and cant see a simple problem with my simple easy code. or its dark basic pro.

It's because you're pasting it at DESKTOP WIDTH() and DESKTOP HEIGHT() which is the lower right corner of your desktops width and height. Like if you were running a Darkbasic program at 800x600 and your desktop size is 1024x768 it'll paste way off your screen at coordinates 1024x768. Paste it at 0,0 instead to see the image and use a texture flag of 1 instead of SCREEN DEPTH().



Edit: See attached image to get a visual of about where your image is relative to your screen.

Your also passing screen depth to the paste image, for some reason.

The last parameter in paste image, is the mode, 0 is solid, 1 is transparency. The depth your passing won't do anything. The only way you wouldn't have that problem before, is that you never tried to paste an image like that before, like pasting it in 3D outside of the screen - your not saying that it usually works for you!

What is strange to me is when I first started in dark basic pro I did in fact paste images just like this and they where always placed perfectly on the screen. So if you are saying this never worked this way but I still did it with no problems but cant do it now tells me there was a problem in my latter software or pc.

I'd be very surprised if that code ever worked in the way you want it to since you're telling it to start pasting at the bottom right hand edge of the screen. Perhaps you've changed something from your earlier working code?

Of course you might have been relying on an old DBPro bug that has long since been fixed ...

I rarely trust my old code because I rarely add comments to tell me whether it worked or not. Perhaps you're the same?

Mabey it was not images I pasted like this, I just looked at a old project and I belive I was mistaken, It was my Videos I posted like this and my videos always posted correcly. Now that I look into it my pasted images where always pasted like this. My bad.

paste image 5000,0,0,1

Where I got it from was fpsc code, in there they display the vides with the desktop width(), desktop height(), screen depth()
